Cecilia Eleanor McQuinn

Cecilia Eleanor McQuinn, 82, Topeka, died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2004, at a local hospital. She was born May 3, 1921, in California, the fourth child of Henry and Mary (Diebolt) Wernsman. She was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary and later Christ the King Catholic Church. She married Charles McQuinn on April 15, 1948, in Kansas City, Mo., at Redemptionist Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband on June 15, 1991, and also by a daughter, two brothers and four sisters. Mrs. McQuinn is survived by a godson, Gerald Cox, Ozark, Mo.; two sisters, Clara Schmidt, Albuquerque, N.M., and Loretta Wernsman, Los Lunas, N.M.; 10 nephews and eight nieces. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Mrs. McQuinn will lie in state after 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
