Christopher John Geist

Christopher John Geist, age 29, of Hays, died Sunday, August 28, 2005 at his home. He was born August 6, 1976 in Hays, the son of Joseph and Deborah (Zimmerman) Geist, Jr. He worked in construction and home remodeling in Topeka. He is survived by one daughter, Madison Geist of Topeka; by his parents, both of Hays; by one sister, Dawn Marie Alcala of Ft. Worth, Tx; by his maternal grandfather, Wayne Zimmerman of Hays; by his paternal grandparents, Joseph, Sr. and Virginia Geist of Hays; and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Arlene Zimmerman. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 1, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Hays. Burial in St. Anthony Cemetery, Schoenchen. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday and from 8:30 to 9:45 A.M. Thursday at Brocks North Hill Chapel, 2509 Vine Street. There will be a parish vigil service at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to the Christopher Geist Memorial Fund, the recipient to be named at a later date.
