Edward Creech Obituary

Edward J. Creech Edward J. Creech, 82, Topeka, died Sunday, June 1, 2014, at Midland Hospice House. Ed was born February 26, 1932, in Topeka, the son of James E. and Lena M. (Lidzy) Creech. In 1987, Ed retired from BNSF as a safety supervisor. He was married to Mary Louise Biesemeyer Mlynek on June 26, 1985, in Topeka. Surviving are his wife: Mary Louise Creech of the home; daughters: Mary Lynn Pierce of Topeka, Paula Liles of Topeka, Debbie Foster of Alabama, and Becky Williams of Topeka; sons: Dennis Creech of Topeka, Larry Creech of Kansas City, Kansas, Mark Creech of Tecumseh, and Brad Mlynek of Tecumseh; sixteen grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services 1:00 PM, Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue. Interment in Rochester Cemetery. Ed will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Wednesday, at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Friends of the Topeka Zoo, 635 SW Gage Blvd., Topeka, KS 66606 or Midland Hospice, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606-2800.
