ELIZABETH CROFT Obituary
STAUNTON, VA
Elizabeth Ann Betty (Pence) Croft, 81, widow of John Kemper Croft, of 1409 Dogwood Road, died Friday, January 4, 2013, in Augusta Health, Fishersville.
She was born May 22, 1931, in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Samuel Hensel and Cleta (Guyer) Pence.
Prior to retirement, Mrs. Croft was employed by V.S.D. B.
She was a member of Hebron Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, Daniel Kemper Croft; a brother, Douglas W. Pence.
Family members include a daughter, Susan Elizabeth Croft of Staunton; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Liz Pack, John Kemper Croft, II, and Samuel R. Croft; numerous nieces and nephews; a special friend, Frances Coffey; and her dog, Abbie.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2013, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Sunday, January 6, 2013, in the funeral home and other times at the residence.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hebron Presbyterian Church, Sanctuary Fund, 423 Hebron Road, Staunton, VA 24401.
Henry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
