One of my best friends I have ever had. We spent 100's of hours together at the tree lot, playing golf and Optimist Club. He approved a loan for us to build our first house when we had very little money. always a smile and encouraging. Thank you Lord for his life and all the memories! Our prayers are with Shirley and the family.

I'll always have fond memories of Jim and the Southwest Optimists. Clipping Christmas tree branches, bowling scores, and his stories about golfing on the Washburn campus . . . Jim always managed to make us smile.

My condolences to the family.

Jim was our SWOC Bowling Team Captain for many years. One of the highlights of our weekly meeting was Jim's bowling report during bowling season. Even the visiting Washburn coaches looked forward to hearing his report. He was a great person.
