Salina - LaVone Nickcole Whetstone, 38, Salina, Kansas, passed away Sunday, June 20, 2021.
LaVone was born December 9, 1982, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Theresa and Charles Whetstone. She was a member of Central Park Christian Church. LaVone loved her family, art, and purses. She was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.
LaVone is survived by her children, Michael Allen and Bre'Anna Allen; grandchild, Tessaira Allen; parents, Theresa Whetstone, Paul Jackson, and Charles Whetstone; siblings, Jessica Whetstone (Adam Taylor), Ashley Whitfield (Matt Taylor), Robert Hampton III, John Whitfield, Darnail Whetstone (Dominique Rose), Shampagne Whetstone, Genaya Jackson (Christopher); paternal grandmother, Lottie Whetstone Davis; significant other, Charles Beach; father of her children, Robert Allen; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Preceded in death by her daughter, Honesty Allen, brother, Lance Whetstone, maternal grandparents, Glenda and Lewis Cavlin Knapp, Jr.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 7th, at Central Park Christian Church, where visitation will be one-hour prior. Burial will follow in Mission Center Cemetery.

Lavone did so much to try to keep the family in tact at an early age. She was so smart, loving and calm. She will be and already is dearly missed. See you on the other side Lavone!
