Lisa Etzel

Alicia Lisa Lorrayne Etzel Alicia Lisa Lorrayne Etzel, 52, of Berryton, died February 26th, 2016, at her home. She was born in Torrance, California, on November 7, 1963, the daughter of Beverly Shupe. Lisa was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and reading. She worked for the State of Kansas in the Department of Administration for 28 years. She married Steve Etzel on September 1, 1984, in Topeka. He survives. Other survivors include her children: Andrea Etzel, Ashleigh (James) Smith, both of Topeka, sons: Tanner Etzel and Conor Etzel, both of Berryton, her mother, Beverly Renner of Berryton, and her grandchildren: Jamison, and Mary-Louise. Lisa will lie in state on Tuesday after 2:00 p.m. at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, where a Parish Rosary will be prayed at 5:00 p.m. The family will greet friends from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lisa s memory to St. Jude Children s Research Hospital or to Catholic Charities, sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, Kansas 66603.
