Loadia Moon Obituary

Loadia K. Moon Loadia K. Moon, 60, of Topeka passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2017. She was born October 9, 1956 in Topeka, the daughter of Alvin and Mary Garrett Brown. She lived in Topeka most of her life. She worked in housekeeping at several Topeka area nursing homes. She also worked at the Eagles Lodge as a waitress. She enjoyed playing bingo whenever and wherever she could. Loadia loved her dogs, especially Chiquita and Roscoe. She was married to Glenn Moon on May 21, 1983 in Topeka. He survives at their home in Topeka. Other survivors include her children, Tammy Moon and Walter O Handlen of Topeka, Rick Moon and Peggy Lang of Lyndon, Tracy and John Shirley of Osage City, Lara and Rueben Lin of Carson, California; adopted daughter Charlene Stewart.; siblings, Christina and Jeff Payne of Scranton, Conway and Cathy Brown of Emporia, and Patty Brown of Topeka; 13 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Preceding Loadia in death are her parents; son Patrick L. Moon; siblings, Danny K. Brown, Guy D. Brown and Diane L. Brown-Sterling. A Memorial service will be held at Highland Park Baptist Church on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross or to Highland Park Baptist Church in care of Davidson Funeral Home.
