Michael Gutowski Obituary
Michael graduated from Highland Park High School and then attended Washburn University. He worked in the grocery business for thirty years and then later owned and operated MG Remodeling Company for 17 years.
Michael married Frances Janca on May 4, 1979 in Topeka. Together they had three children.
Michael was an avid golfer, loved good food and music and spending time with his family. He loved to spoil his five grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by both of his parents.
Michael is survived by his wife Fran of 39 years; two daughters Nicole (Kirk) Bath of Topeka and Annie (Jeremy) Branson of Topeka; son, Joe (April) Gutowski of Topeka; and five grandchildren, Kaci, Carson, Mason, Reagan, Ila all of Topeka; and a sister, Chris Chase of Topeka, as well as a host of extended family.
Rosary will start at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Brennan Mathena Funeral where family will receive friends until 8:00 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, October 26, 2018 at Most Pure Heart of Mary at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Topeka.
Memorial contributions may be made to Most Pure Heart of Mary Prayer Blanket Ministry or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and sent in the care of Brennan Mathena Funeral Home. 800 SW Sixth Ave, Topeka, Kansas 66603.

I, and my family had the most wonderful blessing of having Mike in our lives for over 30 years. His passing will leave a hole in our lives forever. He was a one of a kind person who loved totally and was fiercely loyal to his friends and family. I won't see a golf course and not think of my wonderful friend! Rest in Peace Bud! We love you!

Fran, Nic, Annie and Joe my heart aches for each of you and your families. Mike will always hold a special place in my heart as my second father. He was always a phone call away from helping me with anything I needed or just lending an ear when he knew that was what I wanted. Your dad was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
