I was saddened at the loss of a fine man. I knew Thom from his Milwaukee WI medical residency days. He was quite a character then but always a class human being. He will be missed but may he rest in peace.

In 1979 I was on a plane at Heathrow heading home to Chicago when I saw Thom a few rows back. We talked about how we wished we would have had some time knowing we both were in London. The plane was delayed one day, so we went out to a punk rock club in Camden Town with Molly Maguire. The crazy band was energizing the packed club. We had a blast drinking and dancing our free night away. I will always remember enjoying time with Thom, anywhere.

On behalf of the Notre Dame Class of 1977, please accept our deepest condolences to all of the Segerson family and loved ones. We are greatly saddened to just learn of Thom's passing. He was a wonderful man and classmate. We just saw him at our Reunion last June and are glad for that final opportunity to be with him. A mass will be said at the University of Notre Dame this week and a candle lit at the Grotto in memory of Thom. With love, Ginger McGowan Bishop, ND77 Class Secretary

I am so sorry to hear about Thom's passing. We went from 1st grade through high school together and scouts. I remember in scouts when competing in nature assignments Thom was the one you wanted on your team as he knew all the plants and trees. I will always have fond memories of our years together.

My heart is so heavy for all the Segerson family! I will repeat what I said in a FB message to Mary Beth--I loved Thom (Tommy!) as a little boy/young man and through my brother, Mike, and many of your family, I continued to admire and respect him as he grew up and became an adult. I am in awe of his life and the contributions he made. I know that your dad, Jean, my mom, and Thom are now continuing with their valuable work with God in Heaven! Please know that I am praying for you all and carrying you all in my heart!

Even though it has been almost a week since I heard this devastating news of Thom's passing, I still find it hard to accept. Thom was truly a wonderful person, good friend, excellent classmate while we attended Hayden High, summers at Shawnee Country Club and of course our many trips to Alexandira, MN in the summertime at the Schnellbachers cabin on Lake Geneva. "Godspeed" my good friend and may he "Rest In Eternal Peace".
