Morris Horn Obituary

Morris Horn, 78, of Campbellsville, died at 3:15 p.m., Tuesday, May 14, 2013, in Campbellsville.
Son of the late Bush Horn and Zelma Ransdell Horn, he was born Sept. 1, 1934, in Mercer County, Ky.
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Bethel First Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder and offered valuable leadership on various committees.
He served his country honorably in the United States Army.
He was a lifelong farmer and served on many agriculture and civic boards, including Taylor County Soil Conservation for more than 40 years, Taylor County Hospital Board for three terms, chairman of the RC&D Lake Cumberland Area, 4-H Council and Extension Council, Dairy Association and Beef Cattle Association and was twice named Agriculture Person of the Year.
He married Jane Mitchell on Dec. 28, 1957. She survives.
Survivors also include a son, Todd Horn and his wife, Lynn, of Campbellsville; a daughter, Susan Dyer and her husband, Darel, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Jacob, Weston, Baylan, Logan, Lennon and Allie; a sister, Virginia Chumley of Mercer County; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral was Saturday, May 18, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Rev. Jim Murphy officiated.
Burial was in Brookside Cemetery.
