Richard Nuckols Obituary

Richard Nuckols, 68, of Burkesville, Ky., formerly of Campbellsville, died at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014, in Burkesville.
Son of the late James Nuckols Sr. and Nell Furlong Nuckols, he was born July 9, 1946, in Barren County, Ky.
He was a retired park ranger with the Kentucky State Parks.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Clif Taylor of Columbia, Ky.; two grandchildren, Morgan Gabehart and her husband, Patrick, of Campbellsville and Cayela Harris of Columbia; two great-grandchildren, James Ceaton Harris and Conleigh Harris; three brothers, Bobby Nuckols and his wife, Dee, of Versailles, Ky., Jerry Nuckols and his wife, Debbie, of Indianapolis, Ind., Daryl Nuckols and his wife, Debbie; a sister, Dolores Wright and her husband, Brice, of Noblesville, Ind.; his beloved canine companion, Jessie; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a son, James Thomas Nuckols in 1969 and a sister, Sherry Nuckols.
Funeral was Saturday, Oct. 11, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Minister Ivan Tucker and Joey Wasson officiated.
Expressions of sympathy should take the form of donations to Taylor County Humane Society and they can be made at the funeral home.
