Eula Lee Rowland

Eula Lee Rowland, age 84 of Tazewell, Tennessee, was born December 12, 1931 and passed away May 23, 2016 at her home. She was a member of Springdale Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Eula loved going to church, taking care of beautiful flowers, quilting, gardening, and loved her family dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Johnny H. Rowland. Father: Rev. John H. Coffey. Mother: Cornelia (Arnold) Coffey. Brothers: Don Coffey and Jessee Coffey. Sister: Sara Lynn Coffey.

She is survived by her children: Mitchell (Janice) Rowland of Tazewell, Tennessee; Patricia Rowland of Tazewell, Tennessee; David (Marilyn) Rowland of Cumberland Gap, Tennessee; Ricky (Karen) Rowland of Tazewell, Tennessee; Bruce Rowland (Nanette Neal) of Knoxville, Tennessee; Sharon Rowland Capre of Tazewell, Tennessee; Karen (Sonny) Brock of Tazewell, Tennessee. Grandchildren: Beth Bailey, Carrie Powers, Andy Rowland, Amanda Breeding, Chrystal Jones, Justin Rowland, Jeremy Rowland, Alexander Capre and Brandon Brock. Fifteen great-grandchildren, ten sisters. Several nieces, nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

The family would like to extend special love and thanks to all caregivers, home health and hospice providers, physicians, nurses and all who have helped, prayed and visited during her journey. We love you and you will always have a special place in our hearts.

The family received friends Wednesday, May 25, 2016 from 4-7 p.m. with funeral services at 7 p.m. in the Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Hatfield and the Rev. Clint Hatfield officiating. Music provided by Barbara Hatfield, Chuck Painter and David Painter.

Graveside services were conducted Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the Fairview Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Andy Rowland, Justin Rowland, Jeremy Rowland, Alexander Capre, Brandon Brock and John Powers.
