Danny Charles Davison, age 65, passed away at his home on Oct. 30. Dan was born on June 15, 1952, in Clarinda to Bennie and Betty Davison of rural Clarinda. Dan was later gifted in life with his little sister Renee. Growing up Dan attended East River Country School, moving onto Clarinda High school where he graduated in 1970 and later attended Northwest Missouri State in the fall. A few years later then met his soon to be wife Lois Johnston. They joined in marriage April 26, 1981 and later had 2 children, Andrew Charles and Karla Elaine. He enjoyed farming with his dad and later built a local feed store in Bedford, Iowa he enjoyed for over 9 years. He enjoyed learning how to diagnose hog and cattle sicknesses to help his customers in all ways that he could. He went on to coach the pony baseball team for 4 yrs, where he was a very successful coach, winning over 150+ games. He took a job at South Page High school as their head baseball coach for 7 enjoyable years winning a district championship for first time in over 30 yrs. He loved baseball so much that when anyone spoke to him about it he would say "do you remember that one game?" and he could rattle off all the details of the game, but he couldn't always remember where he put his wallet.

Growing up he loved the New York Yankees. When Andy and Karla started playing ball he wanted them to wear his two favorite players numbers, 7 for Mickey Mantle and 9 for Roger Maris. Because he lived close to Kansas City, Missouri he grew fond of the Royals just as much. So a few times a year he would get tickets for his whole family to go. Every summer he took trips with his family where he enjoyed being able to get away from all the chores and busy lifestyle and spend quality time with his family. Branson was always a home away from home for Dan. He was a very loving and caring person who took great joy in his cows and teaching the players he coached over all the years. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Bennie and Betty.

He leaves to mourn his passing: his loving wife Lois of Clarinda; Son Andy Davison wife Justine of Clarinda; daughter, Karla Davison of Clarinda; grandchildren: Owen and Drake; sister Renee Olhausen and husband Tom of Sioux City, Iowa; niece; Nikkele Peterson and nephews: Adam, Phillip and Ryan Peterson along with a host of family and friends.
