Evan Harl Pullen

Evan Harl Pullen, 16, Republic, Missouri, passed away from injuries sustained in an accident on June 2, 2008. He was born November 23, 1991, in Springfield, Missouri, the son of Michael Harl and Tammy (Hedrick) Pullen.

Evan was a young man that loved life, his family and his friends with all his heart. His love for baseball and hunting with his father and grandfather was superceded only by his love of laughter and bringing smiles to all those who knew him.

Evan was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Harl Pullen, Uncle Joe Pullen, and both maternal and paternal great-grandparents.

He is survived by his parents, Michael and Tammy Pullen and a loving sister, Madison Pullen, all of Republic; maternal grandparents, Don and Carolyn Hedrick, Aurora; paternal grandmother, Mary Pullen-Miller, Mankato, Minnesota; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins; and many friends.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 6, 2008 at the Calvary Baptist Church, Republic, with Pastor Kelly Johnson officiating, under the direction of Meadors Funeral Home, Republic. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Republic.

Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, at the Calvary Baptist Church. Contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Evan Pullen memorial fund, at the US Bank of Republic, to be used for the American Legion Baseball Team, or the Republic Park Board Baseball Program.
