Larry Finger, 62, of Collierville, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, Nov. 30 at Methodist Hospice Residence in Memphis, Tennessee. A memorial was held on Friday, Dec. 8 at 11 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 507 New Byhalia Road, Collierville, Tennessee. In lieu of memorials, Larry requested donations be made in his name to Methodist Hospice Residence, 6416 Quince Road, Memphis, Tennessee 38119 and/or Faith Lutheran Church, 507 New Byhalia Road, Collierville, Tennessee 38017.
Larry was born April 25, 1955, in Steamboat Rock, Iowa to Elmer and Frances Finger. Larry attended and was a graduate of Steamboat Rock High School. He was married to Deborah Olinger on Aug. 18,1979 in Eldora. He worked at International Paper in Memphis, Tennessee displaying a wonderful knack for solving problems. Larry truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasure; chatting with friends and family, snacking and spending time in the backyard. Larry had the uncanny ability to reach and touch people in a deep and positive way.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah; a son, Cameron; a brother, David and many nieces and cousins.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Betty. Larry will be remembered as a bright, shining light in the various communities he was in.
