Miss Shelby, Clay, Lee, and Bradley. I just wanted to let you know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Brother Daughtery touched so many lives during his time on earth, including mine. Although we may be sad and miss him, he is singing "I've got a mansion just over the hilltop" and is waiting for us all to join him in the Heavenly choir one day. I feel truly blessed to have known him when I was growing up at North Winona. He was an inspiration to many and he will live on in our memories for many years to come. Aunt Shelby, I am deeply saddened by your loss. You, Clay, Lee, and Brad and families are in my thoughts and prayers. I take great solace in a line from a letter Uncle wrote to me. He pointed out to me that, "...to be absent from the body is to be present with Jesus...". I know this to be true. May GOD bless you all and hold you in His loving arms. Love, Diane Daughtry

I am truly saddened to hear of Bro. Daughtry's passing. I can't say how much I respected him and truly blessed to have known him. He was my pastor when I was saved and baptized and the lessons learned from him are still engraved in my memory. Mrs. Shelby I am so sorry for your loss and my prayers are with you and the family. I can see Brother D leading the football scrimmages in Heaven.

He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
