David Roberson Obituary
Canton, MS
David E. (Dave) Roberson of Canton, MS was called home to be with the Lord on February 22nd, 2017 at his home. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, February 25th, 2017 at St. Matthew's United Methodist Church in Madison, Mississippi at 2 P.M. Visitation will be Saturday, February 25th, 2017 at 12p.m. at the church. Andy Stoddard, Lead Pastor of St. Matthew's United Methodist Church will officiate the service.
Dave was born on April 6, 1934 in Montgomery, Alabama. His parents were Henry and Lucille Higdon Roberson. He grew up in Atlanta, Georgia where he attended and graduated from Southwest High School. He attended Georgia State University. Dave worked for many years as a sales representative for Stone Manufacturing Company. He was also the owner Pkg's located in Jackson, Mississippi. Dave was a member of St. Matthew's United Methodist Church and attended Mississippi Methodist Cursillo. Dave was a man with many friends and he cherished those friendships made over the years. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, often playing golf or gin rummy. Dave was a good man who loved the Lord and his family and friends dearly, and he was loved by many.
He is preceded in death by his parents Henry & Lucille Roberson, son, Mitchell Roberson, and sister, Carole Jean Roberson.
David is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Becky Roberson, his son, Michael Roberson, his dog child, Bogey, as well as a host of loving family and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Matthews United Methodist Church, 7427 Old Canton Road, Madison, Mississippi 39110.
