David Walls Obituary
Jackson
David Walls, Jr., died on Saturday, April 27, 2013. One of ten children, he was born January 31, 1949, in Tougaloo, MS, to David Wall, Sr., and Joanna Pippins Walls. Educated in the Madison School District, he graduated from Rosa Scott High School in 1967 and attended Jackson State University as an outstanding basketball player. A phenomenal self-taught auto mechanic by trade, David was employed with Delpha Packard for 32 years. He was loved and admired by many.
Visitation is Friday, May 03, 2013, from 1-7 p.m. at Lakeover Funeral Home. The funeral service is Saturday, May 04, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Pleasant M.B. Church, Gluckstadt, MS.

My Prayers are with Davids Family at this time of great loss. David was such a kind Gentleman. In thirty years I had never heard him utter an unkind word about anyone. He always had a smile on is face and a friendly greeting for everyone. May he rest in peace in the arms of the Lord. He will be missed by all.

Having worked at Delphi myself for 31 years, it was a pleasure knowing and working with David. He was about the kindest, fairest, and most level-headed salary worker the plant had. He was admired by many and he will be truly missed.

I never knew David very well, all the years I worked at Packard Electric/Delphi, but I knew him enough to know he was a great person, one of stature in many areas of his demeanor, and well respected by many. My Father, my husband and myself worked with/for David for many years at Delphi. You could not have asked for a better boss. With David I always knew what to expect. I will truely miss him and hate that we could never find a motorcycle to fit him. His family is in my thoughts and prayers.
