Donald Crain Obituary

Donald Allen Crain, 55, a Sales Consultant, died December 6, 2006 at Baptist Desoto Hospital in Southaven, MS. Visitation is today, December 8, 2006, 5-8 p.m. at Holly Springs Funeral Home in Holly Springs, MS. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Saturday, December 9, 2006 at Christ Episcopal Church in Holly Springs with burial in the Hillcrest Cemetery Holly Springs. Holly Springs Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Donald graduated from Mississippi State University in 1973. He was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity Class and was known as Funky. He was a member of the Byhalia Chamber of Commerce , a former member of the Byhalia Lions Club, and an Eagle Scout, and a graduate of Byhalia High School Class of 1969. He attended Christ Episcopal Church in Holly Springs, MS, where he was a member of the Men's Club and Vestry.

His survivors include: his wife, Carey Rather Crain of Holly Springs; son: Donald Allen Crain, Jr. of Atlanta, Ga.; daughter: Sarah Frances Crain of Jackson; two brothers: Charles Crain of Byhalia and Vic Crain of Denver, Colo.; and two sisters, Sarah Fay Sawyer of Byhalia and Nell Schmidt of Long Beach.

The family requests that memorials be sent to Christ Episcopal Church P.O. Box 596, Holly Springs, MS; and to the Palmer House of Columbus, MS.
