I met General Walker in the early 1970's, and he impressed me as a fine individual. I actually did not know of his many acheivements until I read this. He will be missed by his family, his friends, and his country.

General Walker, fondly known as Mickey, was a gentleman and a friend for many years. I first knew him and Tuta through the Military Order of the World Wars. He was so highly respected and loved by us all and will be greatly missed. Deepest sympathy to his family who survive.
You can always be proud of your heritage from both of your parents.

Kathy,
We are so sorry to learn of your father’s death. I know that he will be missed by you and your family. We have lost so much in the pass six years. (My mother, David’s mother and father, your mother and now your father.)
I think about our loss often, but I feel that each one of our love ones are in a better place. We think about you and your family often.

A Great Friend and Soldier, will be missed.

I can't say enough good things about General Walker. I had a very close relationship with him in the National Guard and considered him to be my mentor. He was a soldier's soldier, a friend and a real patriot.
I never had a better friend in the military and I proudly hang an autographed picture of him in my office.
This world, this nation and this state are all better because of the contributions he made.
May peace be with the family.
