Dear Mary Vic, Maurice and Patty-
I learned of Forrest's death through our fraternity brothers in Jackson and Virginia. It is amazing how news travels so fast with the internet.

We are all sorry to hear of his death. It is always tough to find the right words at times like this. Only the good die young and we consider ourselves still young in our mid 50's. We will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Mary Vic and the entire Dantin clan, I had the privilege to know Forest, he epitomized the "true southern gentleman" his subtle manner and loftier pursuits characterized his charming nature. He will be sorely missed. The sudden series of events could never prepare a family for such a tremendous loss. Please take solace in the fact that he was loved by many and his kind hearted demeanor was a tribute to his upbringing. Forest possessed the genuine ability to make a positive impact on his community, family and friends.
Our heartfelt condolences. Love Always, Maria (Allegra) Scarrone

Maurice and Patty, and Family,
Please accept our prayers, thoughts, and condolences on the home-going of Forest. I remember laughter with him during the Governers election of 1975 and also him remembering me after many years when I saw him at Jean Cavins funeral. He was an outstanding person and a "Chip off the Old Block". I know you all loved him and will miss him. May God comfort you all.
