Frances Pender Obituary

Frances Terry Pender, 80, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2008 at Peachtree Village in Brandon. Visitation will be held Monday, February 11, 2008 from 6 to 8pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Funeral Services are 11am Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at the funeral home with a 1pm graveside service to follow at the Mendenhall Cemetery in Simpson County.
Mrs. Pender was born in Newton County and has lived in the Jackson area since 1955, where she was a member of McDowell Baptist Church. Mrs. Pender worked as a waitress at the Red Top Cafe on North State St. and retired from the Farmers Market Restaurant on Woodrow Wilson Dr. She is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Mr. James L. Terry and her husband of 9 years, Mr.Elmer Sonny Pender.
Mrs. Pender is survived by her daughter, Pam McCollough and husband John of Brandon; her son, Ron Terry and wife Dorothy of Madison; three grandchildren, Russell McCollough and wife Kim of Brandon, Shellie McCollough Waggoner and husband Stephen of Brandon, and Courtney Terry Shumpert and husband Kirk of Shannon; four great-grandchildren, Megan McCollough, Catherine Waggoner, and Savanna and Sharlee Shumpert.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Peach Tree Village in Brandon for the care and support they gave Mrs. Pender.
In lieu of flowers,memorials may be made to Hospice Ministries 450 Town Center Blvd. Ridgeland,MS. 39158-1228.

My wife and I enjoyed the company of Mrs. Pender for a short while. She had a best friend with my mother Sarah Jolly at Peachtree. Our sympathy is with your family at this time.
