Gayle Reeves Obituary
Jackson
Gayle Murphey Reeves, 95, passed away on September 25, 2017 in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2017 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Lakewood Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow in Lakewood Memorial Park. She was born in Ardmore, OK, to the late Monte Elmer Murphey and Minnie Ellen Hartnett Murphey.
Mrs. Reeves was a former member of First Christian Church and a current member of Briarwood United Methodist Church. She was a court reporter for the United States Government in 1944 where she met her husband Julius Reeves.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Julius Reeves; two sisters; two brothers and numerous relatives. She is survived by daughters, Martha Reeves Bise and Julie Jennifer Reeves; granddaughter, Betty Bise Neels (Carl) of Florida; three great granddaughters, Willow Abigail Neels, Aspen Faith Neels and Magnolia Grace Neels; one great grandson, Hawthorn Carl Neels.
The family request memorials be made to Briarwood United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.

Martha Gayle, i was so sorry to hear about your mother. I have so many good memories of times spent with our family not to mention a lot of good meals and conversation. Aunt Gayle will always have a special place in my heart . I know you will miss her. We will be thinking about you and your family. Just know you are in our hearts and prayers.
