Madison
Mrs. Jan Gonzales Gower, 64, passed away September 21, 2016 at MS Baptist Medical Center. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 AM Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Natchez Trace Funeral Chapel in Madison with interment in Natchez Trace Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 PM and Saturday from 10 - 11 AM at Natchez Trace Funeral Home.
Mrs. Gower was a graduate of Wingfield High School and later received her nursing degree from Hinds Community College. She worked at MS Baptist Medical Center as a recovery room nurse for over 20 years. She loved spending time with friends and family, especially her grandson, Logan. Jan or "J.J." as she was known by many of her friends, loved her yearly trips to the beach in Florida and always looked forward to lunches, dinners and Sweet Potato Queen parades with her "Classy Mates".
She is survived by her husband, Raymond "Bubba" Gower; daughter Robin Colella (Will); grandson, Logan Riddle and a host of friends.
Memorials may be made to C.A.R.A.

Jan was such a sweet person, living up the street from us & growing up on Kentwood Dr. When she & I worked briefly at Minor Med she and her personality made my days a joy to work.
I feel saddened, as we move take care of our families and loose touch, and I wonder did she know how much I loved her as a friend. God Bless you Jan for the memories I have of you, You are in Gods arms and no longer sick. Anne Smith Muncie

I loved this sweet, crazy (good) woman. The world will be a sadder place without her joy and her extraordinary love for her family. I speak for many when I say there is great grief today at the Jackson Eye Institute.
