Jane Davis Obituary

Patricia Jane Adams Davis, 66, died Sunday, December 20, 2009, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, Alabama.
A visitation will be held tonight from 5-7 pm at Lakewood Funeral Home on Clinton Blvd. Graveside services will be held at 10 am on Saturday, December 26, 2009, in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Jane was born on November 11, 1943 in Weir, MS to the late Alex Alvin Adams and Ella Faye McWhorter Adams. She was a resident of Jackson from 1959 until she made her home in Alabaster in 1986.
Jane loved riding horses but more than anything she had a never ending love for her 5 children. Having been a single parent, she devoted her life to her children and family and will be greatly missed by them all.
Preceding her in death are her parents; and four infant grandchildren.
Surviving Jane are her children, Jerrel Abney, Ronnie Abney, both of Alabaster, AL, Tissy May of Flowood, James Abney of Ridgeland and Missy Rand of Brandon; siblings, Thomas Adams of Louisiana, Lela McDill of Pearl, James Adams of Ackerman, Lora Gray of Danielsville, GA and Jimmy Adams of Ackerman; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a host of other extended family.
