Mrs. Morgan was born October 12, 1929 in Gulfport, MS to the Honorable John Wilson Savage and John Langston (Johnelle) Ingrahm Savage. She attended Gulfport schools, graduating in 1947. She attended the Mississippi University for Women (formerly MSCW) and graduated from the University of Mississippi in 1950. She was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority.

Mrs. Morgan served on the Board of Directors of the Community Concert Assn., the American Cancer Society and the Young at Heart Club, was a life member of the Greenwood Junior Auxiliary, a member of the Delta Cotton Wives, the Chakchiuma Chapter of the DAR, was a former member of the LeBonte Women's Club and an organizer and first President of Pillow Academy Parents Association (PAPA). A lifelong Presbyterian, Jane was a member and Sunday school teacher at the Morgan City Presbyterian Church, PCA. She was the widow of Fitz Robert Morgan, Jr.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary Jane Morgan Kimball and her husband Kenneth Alan Kimball of Shelbyville, KY, two sons, Fitz Robert Morgan, III and his wife Jeanette Byars of Greenwood, MS, John Savage Morgan and his wife Deborah Vance of Southaven, MS; grandchildren, Alan Neill Kimball, Mary Virginia Morgan, Fitz Robert Morgan, IV, John Savage Morgan, Jr. and William David Morgan.

Pallbearers are her grandsons, Alan Neill Kimball, Fitz Robert Morgan, IV, John Savage Morgan, Jr. and William David Morgan; godson, Michael Morgan Lane Dean and Roy Preston Kelly, III and Christopher Earl Kelly.

Honorary Pallbearers are Walter Pillow, Ben Downing, Richard Dawson and the Elders and Deacons of Morgan City Presbyterian Church.

A very special thanks and commendation for her caregivers, LaShaun Johnson and Mary Dixon Brock who provided special care with love and devotion.

Memorials may be made to Palmer Homer for Children in Columbus, MS.
