It's almost six years since John left us to abruptly. Not a moment passes that I don't think about him. The last thing he did a week before he passed was install new furnace at my house. So many memories of John but each time that ac unit or furnace comes on, I literally feel John's one of a kind sprit blowing through the air vents. Hope you are resting peacefully John. We miss you. Gee

My name is Wayne Holmes. I hope this message gets to a member of John Harpers family or a friend who can pass a message to them. I just heard of Johns passing and I am so sorry to hear of that. I first met John when he was 14 years old, already a man among boys. I had the good pleasure to coach him in football from that age till he was a senior at Vicksburg High. John was a special athlete, football, basketball & track. A hard worker who always, left it on the field. But even more than that, he was a special person, one I have never forgotten and have spoken too a number of times over the years. John grew up and played with a very special group of young men during that period and not only was he a leader with those young men but with his coaches & teachers, of which, Im proud to say I was one. Rest In Peace my Friend, Wayne
