Margaret kept me in stitches...her unique sense of humor was a welcome relief in the governing of a large state CPS agency in Dallas Texas. She had a remarkable sense of what's right and incredible skill at assessment of families and situations that arose during her employment. Her expertise in family dynamics assisted staff in making decisions about placement of children. She sent a messsge to me three years ago via a mutual friend to call her and when I did there was no answer - how I miss that opportunity to reconnect. I truly admired and respected her. Because my mother was an artist I followed part of her painting career and realized her talents were far greater than I knew...she was a treasure!!!

Margaret Dean used to consult with Child Protective Services in Dallas, TX. It was my privilege to know her and learn from her. We became friends and I greatly missed her when she moved away. She had a wealth of knowledge and was also a warm and interesting person.

Condolences are extended to the family and friends. May she R.I.P and may memories and prayers comfort mourning ones.

My mother, Mary Jean Berry Eason, was at MC with Margaret Garnder. Recently she thought about a concert that Margaret gave for a music class while she was at MC, and she wondered what had happened to her after Mississippi College. After the obituary was in the Clarion Ledger (Jackson, MS), my mother shared with me how pleased she was to see all of the wonderful accomplishments of Margaret, someone she fondly remembers as extremely talented--a woman loved and admired by everyone.
