Michael John Fitzgerald, 53, passed away February 25, 2015 following a lengthy battle with diabetes and heart disease. Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, John Walters and Mary Walters von Plees of Whitehall, MI. He is survived by his parents, Bryan and Suzanne Fitzgerald of Jackson, Mississippi; sister, Sherri Lovell (Michael); niece, Claire Dixon of Jackson, Mississippi and uncle, James Walters of Muskegon, Michigan. Michael was a wood craftsman and cabinet maker. He loved to cook and entertain. He will be cremated. A memorial service may be held in the future. Arrangements by Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 6291 S. Harvey St., Muskegon, MI 49444, 231-798-1100.
