Paul Bridges

Funeral services will be held today at 11:00 AM at Saulters-Moore Funeral Home Chapel, for Mr. Paul Bridges, 82, of New Hebron who died at his residence Sunday, September 23, 2007. Burial will follow in the Cliburn Cemetery. Rev. Dan Ainsworth, Rev. Sonny Adkins and Rev. Richard Rankin will officiate.
Mr. Bridges was a native of Jefferson Davis County, the son of Virgil Bridges, Jr., and Minnie Smith Bridges. He was a member of Shalom Baptist Church, and had been a farmer and owner of New Hebron Hardware Store for 30 years. He was a World War II veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita Jones Bridges of New Hebron; one daughter, Paulette Foster of Silver Creek; three stepsons, William Ray Jones of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Ronnie Jones of New Hebron and Mike Jones of Clinton; eight grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; three brothers, Olan Bridges of Ocean Springs, Oliver Bridges of Prentiss and V.L. Bridges of Franklinton, LA; two sisters, Irene Sills and Elizabeth Griffith both of Prentiss.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Hazel, four brothers and one grandson.
