My dearest mother you were my heart and soul also my life, you will truly be missed by all. I know now why you have pushed me so hard through the years to make it through every obstacle in my path, because you wanted me to be that sweet, kind-hearted, strong person that you have raised me to be. I lve you and will miss you.

Penny "Pootsie" Craig will be truly missed by those who knew her. I am blessed that I was one of those people. May GOD bless, and watch over the Craig family (especially Kristin). You are in my prayers. We are all just a phone call away.
Keep your hands in Jesus hands, and he will not lead you astray.

Kristin, I am so sorry to hear about your mother. I had the pleasure of working with your mother at MMRC. She was a wonderful lady and she loved you so much! My love and prayers go out to you and the rest of the family!
In Christ.

To Penny's family, most especially Kristen. To say your mother was special is an understatement. I worked with her at Methodist Rehab for many years and remember the day she found out she was going to have you. She was so shocked because I believe she had been told she could not have children. Her face glowed and she floated on air. We (the girls from medical records) visited her after you were born and she was so proud. I know you both went through hard times but never have I seen a more loving, nurturing, tender yet strong bond as the one the two of you developed. Afterwards, she would dress you up like a little doll and bring you to see us. She did not "coddle" you, she wanted you to learn to be strong, as she was, and to stand on your own two feet. So no, your mother was not just special, she was brave, strong, patient, loving and accepting. She was indeed a woman to be admired. She will be missed by many.

Oh Pootsie.....what will we ever do without you? Your laughter, your wit, gosh. To have found you again four years ago after being gone....after our close friendship most of our school lives. I will miss you so much. You will always be in my heart and always be remembered. Some of us old "Ludlow Skating Rink" friends were reminiscing the other day. Made us laugh. Kristen, nobody has to tell you how very special your mother was. Just know that we are here for you and that she will NEVER leave you. You have lots of people here for you PJ, don't forget that. I'm right down the road......

My heart continues to break at the sudden loss of a friend - someone I loved and loved me. Your heart was open and your spirit strong. You've passed this strength to Kristin in the example you have shown her. Through all of us you will live on.

I am sorry for your prescious loss. Penny is a very special person. She always made me laugh. I met Penny when she worked at Methodist Rehab. She was a part of the softball team there. She used to joke about her breast. If I am not mistaken there was something going on with one of them. Whenever someone was throwing the ball to her, she would jokingly say 'aim it at my breast." It was so hilarious. I did get to meet her daughter some years ago and I do know that her daugter was near and dear to her. I was looking at a tape of one of softball games about 2 weeks ago and she is on that tape. We were playing administration for that game. One of her brothers played a couple of games with us. MRC's old softball team members will always remember her.
