Steven Paul Westmoreland Sr.

Steven Paul (Steve) Westmoreland, Sr., 60, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2009, at home.
Visitation is 1-2:30 pm today at Stringer Family Funeral Home in Crystal Springs. Services will be 2:30 pm today at Stringer Family Chapel with burial in Crystal Springs Cemetery.
Steve was a graduate of Crystal Springs High School where he was a member of the band, the baseball team, and the football team. He then graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi. Steve worked in heavy equipment sales, new home construction sales, and as a legal abstractor. He formerly served on the Board of Aldermen for the City of Crystal Springs and was a member of First Baptist Church of Crystal Springs.
Steve was preceded in death by his father, D. Paul Westmoreland, his sisters, Paula Renee Westmoreland and Patsy Lynn Westmoreland Lack.
He is survived by his mother, Johnnie Colburn Westmoreland, his wife of 31 years, Laura Little Westmoreland; sons, Steven Paul (Steve) Westmoreland, Jr., Wade James Westmoreland and John Colburn (Cole) Westmoreland, all of Crystal Springs; his sister, Kay Westmoreland Childres and her husband Jimmy, of Wyndale; one nephew; four nieces; and four great-nieces.
The Family would like to thank Dr. Ken Whittington, his nurse, Barbara Hall, and Dr. William Smith and the staff at Central Dialysis Services of Hazlehurst for their loving car and support.
