Dale Crawford

Dale E. Crawford, lovingly known as “Skip”, age 72, of Cunningham, TN passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024.

A Masonic Service for Dale’s family and friends will be at 12 noon on Monday, December 2, 2024 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. Visitation will follow until the hour of service at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Dr. Ted Denny will officiate. 

Burial, US Air Force, and Sheriff’s Department honors will follow at Davis Cemetery.

Dale entered this life on August 22, 1952, in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina to the late Dorman and Sarah Crawford. Dale began his career as a lifeguard showcasing his passion for helping others from an early age. His journey then led him to drive a truck for Pepsi, work for Acme Boot, and Durrett Containers. However, it was his tenure with The United States Air Force that truly defined his legacy. He served as a Security Supervisor and honorably served from 1976 to 1992. Dale then went to work for the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office in 1992. As a law enforcement officer, Dale served with honor and integrity, earning the respect of his peers and the community until his retirement in 2017. Dale was also a member of Masonic Lodge #761.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sheila Bowles Crawford Baggett; siblings, Carol Whitehead, Nina Smith, Mark Crawford, Kay Warren.

Survivors include his loving wife, Verna (Cook) Crawford; children, Ann Trost, Stacy (Brian) Szlosek, Jonathan (Laura) Crawford, Joe Cook, Kim (James) Raines, and Kristie Donaldson; twenty-five grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren; siblings,  Mark Crawford and Rene Crawford.
