Donna Dean Nugent Joiner, age 76, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024.
Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, December 20, 2024 at First Baptist Church, Woodlawn with Rev. Rocky Sickel officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home, and again on Friday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
Donna entered this life on December 3, 1948 in Alexandria, Louisiana to the late Jessie Nugent, Sr. and Lillie Mullins Nugent. Throughout her career, she worked in case management for Tennova Healthcare, where her dedication to her patients was evident. A longtime member of First Baptist Church, Woodlawn, Donna devoted countless hours to volunteering within her congregation. Her faith was a guiding force in her life, and she actively participated in church activities, where her warm spirit touched everyone she met. Outside her professional and community commitments, Donna found joy in life's simple pleasures. She was an avid college football fan, her weekends often filled with spirited games and enthusiastic cheering for her favorite teams. In her spare time, she delighted in crocheting beautiful Afghan blankets for many people, a craft that highlighted her nurturing character and love for children.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Bernard “Buster” Nugent.
Survivors include her loving husband, William Joiner; son, David Joiner, and his wife, Tiffany Marie; son, Jeremy Joiner; brother, Jessie Nugent, Jr.; and twin sister, Bonnie Nugent Hawthorne; grandchildren, Gracen and Westin Joiner, and great-great-grandchild, Esme Eble. Donna also leaves behind her beloved dogs.
Pallbearers will be Harold Tracy, Derrick Cronk, Dirk Greenwood, Dennis Mulley, Joe Brockman, Josh Clegg. Honorary pallbearers will be Walter Leslie and Carl Masters.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church, Woodlawn, 2751 Woodlawn Road, Woodlawn, TN 37191.
