John Glasgow Obituary

John Burton Glasgow, age 85 of Clarksville, TN passed away in Knoxville, TN. John was born February 9, 1940 in Charlotte, TN the son of the late Ritchie and Gladys Bowker Glasgow. He worked for TVA where he was a heavy equipment operator. He was preceded in death by, his wife, Shirley Holt Glasgow and one brother, Randy Glasgow. Survivors include his daughter, Amanda Hankins; stepdaughter, Frankie Lehman; two brothers, Buford Glasgow and Terry Glasgow; four sisters, Glenda Shearon, Wanda Harrell, Nancy Merlis and Teresa Tolar; grandsons, Peyton Hankins and Jackson Hankins. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Neal-Tarpley Parchman Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Sango Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Richard Roland, Jason Groves, Daniel Williams, Ben Tolar, Mike Lilly and Dwight Bowker. Arrangements are entrusted to Neal Tarpley Parchman Funeral Home, 1510 Madison Street, Clarksville, TN 37040; (931) 645-6488.
