Luis Torres Cruz Obituary

Luis Alberto Torres Cruz, a loving husband, devoted father, and doting grandfather, left this world on September 21, 2025.

Born on June 27, 1969 in Puerto Rico, Luis touched the lives of so many with his kind and outgoing spirit.

Luis was known for his unwavering love for his family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy Diaz, who remained his partner through all of life's journeys. Together, they created a beautiful family, blessed with eight remarkable children: Luis Torres, Ian Torres, Kiara Torres, Kiamynet Torres, Ivonne Diaz, Tito Diaz, Jomar Diaz, and Narliz Diaz. The joy of his life multiplied as he welcomed his grandchildren—Alondra, Helen, Isabella, Victoria, Xiomara, Evonny, Matias, and Asher—who brought him immense happiness and pride.

A man of many interests, Luis had a deep passion for the New York Yankees, always cheering for his team with fervor. He found joy in spending quality time with his loved ones and cherished every moment, whether it was sharing a meal or reminiscing over shared memories. Luis held a special connection to his roots and loved returning to Puerto Rico to visit, nurturing his bond with his heritage where he was surrounded by a loving family that included four brothers and four sisters.

Luis is preceded in death by his parents Virgilio Torres and Maria Cruz.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 5pm, Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Pastor Rene Llanos officiating.
