Renee Gonzalez-
Tuesday, April 15th, 2025, the world got significantly less fun and a whole lot quieter when Renee “Lolo” Gonzalez, 31, passed away after a short but fierce battle with cancer. Renee was surrounded by her loved ones. In true Renee fashion, she exited like a rockstar-surrounded by love, slightly dramatic, and somehow still managing to look flawless.
Celebration of Life will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, April 18th, 2025, at McReynolds-Nave and Larson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
Born on June 13th, 1993, in San Bernardino, CA. Renee came into the world with a mission: to make every single person fall in love with her. Mission accomplished. From the moment she could talk (which she did a lot), she lit up every room she walked into with her infectious laugh, dazzling smile, and magnetic energy. You didn’t leave a room Renee was in without remembering her name.
Fate can be sometimes cruel: it takes away someone so young, full-of life, full of plans. She was 31yrs old when cancer attacked her, she fought a heroic battle. She was the life of every gathering, even the ones she wasn’t invited to (but showed up anyway and somehow became the guest of honor). Renee had the gift of making you feel like you were the only person in the world.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Adam Gonzalez; sons Daniel and Damien Gonzalez; siblings Phylicia Ranes and Phillip Board; grandparents, Alberta Harrison, and Clyde and Linda McCullough; aunt, Sharon Harrison; and her loving furry companions Sunny and Gipsy.
In her final and most dramatic entrance yet, Renee rolled up to the next party - where she was greeted by all of her loved ones who were waiting for her on the other side, who wondered what the big fuss was about. Spoiler: they get it now.
