Carolyn Ruth Young, 84, died peacefully at home April 6, 2026 from complications of Alzheimer's disease. She was a native of Evans County and a member of Eastside Baptist Church. She enjoyed many visits to the coast where she loved to fish and go crabbing. Her other hobbies that brought her tremendous joy, were knitting and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband C.W. "Jr." Young, one son; Timothy W. Young, brother; Ronald Tubberville; sister, Jeanette Tubberville.
SURVIVORS: Brother, Doyce (Brenda) Tuberville of Pooler, Ga.
FUNERAL: Friday, April 10, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Brewton Cemetery, Claxton, Ga.
BURIAL: Brewton Cemetery, Claxton, Ga.
REMEMBRACES: Ogeechee Area Hospice, 200 Donehoo Street, Statesboro, Ga. 30458.
