Donald Teems Obituary
Donald Leander Teems 92, of Peachtree, went home to be with the Lord Friday, Oct. 24, 2025. He was born Nov. 29, 1932 to the late Conley Edward and Georgia Watkins Teems. He retired from Emerson Electric Company in 1993.
Donald was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Following retirement, Donald loved wood working and loved to work on lawn mowers and other small engines. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. He loved and cherished his one and only grandchild Wesley Morgan, so very much. He also loved talking about the Lord with everyone he came in contact with. Donald was a faithful member of Shiloh Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Donald is preceded in death by his loving wife, Ella "Faye" Trout Teems, who died August 14, 2020. He is also preceded in death by two sisters; Betty Teems Chance and Barbara Teems Brumbly and five brothers; Robert, Allen, Harry Lee, Tommy and Leon Teems.
Surviving is one daughter, Brenda Teems Morgan and husband Alan of Andrews, N.C.; one son Ronnie Teems and wife Rita of Marble, N.C. and one grandson, Wesley Morgan. Donald is also survived by many nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025 in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home Murphy with Reverend Doyce Waters, Reverend Bill Dyer and Reverend Jeremiah Wike officiating. A eulogy will be provided by his grandson Wesley Morgan. Interment will take place in the Peachtree Community Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wesley Morgan, Jimmy Teems, Greg Gibson, Corey Teems, Dwayne McTaggart, Shane McTaggart and Brian Trout. Honorary pallbearers will by Tony Trout and George Stanley.
The family will receive friends from 12-1:45 pm Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025 at the Ivie Funeral Home in Murphy.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the Ivie Funeral Home to help with final expenses.
