Jack William Cheeks

Jack William Cheeks, 70, of Lawrenceville, Ga. passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026, following a period of declining health. His loving wife was by his side. In his final hours, Jack was surrounded by family, friends and the prayers of the many families and friends who loved him. Jack and Pam made their home in Lawrenceville, but in his heart his home was always in Hayesville, where he grew up. He inherited the love of hunting and fishing from his dad and enjoyed many hunting and fishing trips with his buddies. Jack loved his family and friends with all his heart and was most happy spending time with them. Jack worked in the construction field with John D. Stephens, Inc., Henderson Electric Company and Brasfield and Gorrie.
He was the son of the late Paul Cheeks and Margaret Garrett Cheeks of Hayesville. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Carlena Cheeks and Gene Cheeks.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Pamela (Pam) Bradley Cheeks of Lawrenceville; his brother, Carl Cheeks of Hayesville; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jounida and Pete Bradley, of Hiawassee, Ga.; brother-in-law, Tony Bradley and wife, Theresa, of Cumming, Ga., as well as beloved nieces, Nicole Barnes, Emily Edwards, Carleigh Gibby and Riley Cabe; and nephews, Andrew, Cory, Jared and Isaac Cheeks and a huge extended family.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7 in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville with the Rev. Jackie Sellers officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12-1:50 p.m. prior to the service.
