Ronnie Burrell Obituary

Ronnie Wesley Burrell, 65, of Hayesville passed away Monday, Oct. 13, 2025. He was the son of the late Gerald D. Burrell and Fannie Mae Patton Burrell.
He had worked in the garment industry in manufacturing. Ronnie liked taking care of his goats, chickens and dogs. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ronnie enjoyed attending church, where he was a member of Mission Hill Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Helen "Bernice" Whitaker Burrell; brothers, Dick Burrell, Tommy Burrell and infant brother Andrew Burrell; sisters, Wanda Watkins and Doris Collins; and a grandchild Rachael Burrell.
Surviving is a son, Michael Bright (Stephanie); daughters, Tammy Gregg (Brian) and Michelle Burrell; brothers, Johnny Burrell, Kenny Burrell and Bobby Burrell; sisters, Clara Moss, Geraldine Lockaby, Francis Wilson and Shirley Chastain; grandchildren, Jessica Henderson (Ethan), Zachary Gregg (Rebekah), Adam Watkins (Emily), Autumn Bright (Gabriel), and Madison Bright; great-grandchildren, Gabriel Watkins, Harper and Hadley Henderson, and Samantha, Savanna, and Samuel Gregg.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025 at Mission Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Stewart officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Danny Ensley, Joshua Dougherty, Gabriel Cavender, Mike Gribble, John Burrell, Jeff Lockaby, Matthew Triplet, and Matthew McCray. Noah Burrell served as honorary pallbearer.
The family received friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025 at Mission Hill Baptist Church prior to the services.
Townson-Rose Funeral Home was charge of all arrangements.
