Ryan S. Wark

Ryan S. Wark, 51, of Hayesville, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 12, 2023. He was a native of Atlanta, Ga.
Ryan joined the United States Air Force and was stationed at Rhein-Main Air Base in Frankfort, Germany. Ryan remained in Frankfort following his discharge. He worked for U.S. Airways for 12 years before returning to the United States. Ryan worked various technical jobs before settling in Hayesville in 2014 and worked at Union General Hospital the past several years. Ryan attended McConnell Baptist Church in Hiawassee, Ga. He was a member of the NRA and had a passion for firearms. Ryan was an outdoorsman, who enjoyed camping, fishing, bicycling and canoeing. Ryan was a caring and giving man who never met a stranger. He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed making others smile.
He was the son of Richard and Linda Wark.
Surviving, in addition to the parents, are his wife, Jaycelle A. Wark; a daughter, Lea Wark and a son, Dylan Wark, both of Frankfort, Germany, and a son, Lucas J. Wark, due any day; a brother, Colby B. Wark and wife, Bethany, of Social Circle, Ga.; a niece, Anna Katherine Wark; two nephews, Andrew and Aaron Wark; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services were held at 5 p.m. Sunday, April 16 in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville with the Rev. Steve Taylor officiating and military honors provided by the Hayesville VFW Post 6812, Hayesville American Legion Post 532 and Murphy American Legion Post 96. Music was provided by Bethany Wark and Marva Kay Stewart.
The family received friends from 3-4:45 p.m. Sunday at the Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville prior to the services.
