Theresa Moss

Theresa Tallent Moss, 67, of Hayesville, passed away Monday, Dec. 1, 2025.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County and the daughter of the late Coburn and Melinda Lance Tallent. Theresa loved being a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, working puzzles such as Sudoku and riding around in Hayesville with her husband Tommy. Theresa loved spending time with her family, especially her grandsons. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church for more than 20 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Jeremiah Moss; and one sister, Amy Kirby.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Tommy Moss; one son, Neal Moss (Lori) of Young Harris, Ga.; one daughter, Trista Burch, of Hayesville; one brother, Charles Tallent, of Young Harris, Ga.; one sister, Debbie Grooms, of Blairsville, Ga. and three grandsons, Andrew Moss, Baden and Tanner Burch.
Funeral Services were held at 2 pm, Sunday, Dec. 7 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville. Rev. Clark Moss officiated. Burial was in the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dakota Grooms, Brandon and Greyson Tallent, Leon Chastain, David Dockery and Jeff Bailey.
The family received friends from 12-2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville.
