My dearest friend for over 25 years, my brother I never had, my confidant, my pal. You could make me laugh like no one else and you could see right through me. I adored you and everything about you. I miss you more than I can express in mere words, but I know we will be together again. Thank you for being my best friend.

Tom, just heard of Andy's passing. I'm very sorry for your loss. Andy had some positive influences on me (as did you). God bless him and may he rest in peace.

May God bless you and your family. I will always smile at the memories of times we were together, especially the trip to Dewey beach and our bit parts in the movie Billy Bathgate.
You had a life well lived although cut way to short.
You will be greatly missed here in Boca Raton.

To Tom, Andy and I were great buddies at the Victoria Pool in Saratoga every summer for decades. He would stride in in his Orange bathing suit. Andy was very supportive of our efforts to rehabilitate the pool which he loved dearly because the architecture is so similar to UVA. I already miss our long lazy afternoons poolside.

I just learned about Andy's passing. hH was a great guy and a friend here at UVA. I remember the times going to basketball games in Miami when UVA played the Hurricanes. Andy was a pleasure to be with and his devotion to UVA was second to none. Will miss him...

Hey, 'ole bud, we've logged a lot of miles, shared many smiles, spun a few yarns, and a few of them were even true, resulting in a treasure of fond memories. Your wit, wisdom and concern enriched my life, and our travels to Cooperstown, Aspen, South Bend, Charlottesville, Dewey Beach, LA Coliseum, the crazy trip to Montreal, Yankee Stadium, NYC, Killington, Saratoga, Albany, Newport and the Great Gatsby Ball, Lake George, Philly at the Army-Navy game where we froze our butts off, golfing, et al. were characterized by many, many heartfelt conversations about substantive issues and as Seinfeld lamented, many, well, were just about noth'n, but collectively, very dear to my heart and therefore cementing. Methinks of Grantland Rice who mused:
For when the One Great Scorer comes
To mark against your name,
He writes - not that you won or lost -
But HOW you played the Game.
You played it well, my friend, rest in peace!
Mike
