Dear Maria and Family, Jim and I were very fond of Anthony. The first time I met him was almost 20 years ago. I was working with the Arts and Environment committee at St. Paschal's. It was Advent and Tony showed up to help us put together the Christmas trees for behind the altar. We were working together on a large tree, and talking as we worked. The evening went by so quickly and the conversation was so peasant. I felt like I knew him all my life. He talked about his love for his family, his life, and his faith in Jesus. I went home that night with such a warm feeling in my heart. Truly Jesus had been present with us during our conversation. Later on, when I was volunteering with the Helping Hands, he always made a point to say hello and give me a hug. I felt like he was a family member. Jim saw him on Wednesday evenings, when he would go out with the Helping Hands van. Tony would come into the kitchen and talk to him like he was his brother- and they were, brothers in the Lord. He was a treasure, and we will miss him.

Dearest Family, Tony was a wonderful friend and neighbor. Through Tony's fine example, I learned to be a better man. Genuine love and caring were his strongest characteristics. I will always cherish our conversations by the fire pit and find comfort with the idea that he's watching over us all. My heart goes out to you all, in this sorrowful time of loss. Tony will sorely missed. My deepest condolences and prayers.

Padre Pio himself was waiting at heaven's gate to escort Tony to Jesus's throne. Well done, good and faithful servant. Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Our loss, heaven's gain. A true blessing to call him friend. Wonderful, gentle guy. With God's grace and Mary's intercession, we will see him again.
