Maureen Donich

Maureen Donich (Casey), 76, of South Chesterfield, Virginia, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2024. Born in Toronto, Canada, she is the daughter of the late John A Casey (2010) and Noreen A. (Woodhouse) Casey (2015) of Akron, Ohio. She spent her early years living in the Northern Ohio area, where she graduated from Elyria High School in 1965 and Lorain County Community College in 1967. With her husband's transfer, she later relocated with her family to the Richmond, Virginia area in 1986. She was last employed with LL Flooring before retiring in 2014.
Maureen is survived by her husband of 54 years, John Donich, of South Chesterfield, VA; along with her daughter, Suzanne Donich, of Richmond, VA. She is also survived by three brothers, Mike (Connie) Casey, of Sedro Woolley, WA, Stephen Casey, of Alpharetta, GA, and Drew (Tracy) Casey, of Akron, OH; and a sister, Susan (John) Somich, of Courtland, OH. Additional survivors include in-laws, Dennis (Sheryl) Donich, of Grafton, OH, Janet (Jerry) Malone, of Lima, OH, and Denise Mohr, of Evergreen, CO; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Casey, of Akron, OH in 2011.
A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
