CLIFTON PARK - Regina "Gina" Lysyczyn went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at St. Peter's Hospital, Albany.
Gina was born in Schenectady, N.Y., on February 25, 1958, to Betty Paniccia Kuhn of Duanesburg and her father, the late Ralph L. Paniccia.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Donald L Lysyczyn; and her beloved children, Alexis (Charlie), Nicholas (Michelle), Craig, and Katie (Seth); grandchildren, Lucas, David, Jonathan, Jacob, Liam, Brody; and a bonus granddaughter, Lucy. She is also survived by a brother, sister, mother and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Gina loved being surrounded by family and time spent with close friends. She enjoyed traveling, especially cruising; any opportunity to use her artistic abilities, gardening, cooking, entertaining, crossword puzzles, playing Scrabble, and Pinochle. Gina had a great sense of humor and enjoyed anyone that shared her love of laughter and positivity.
She spent 40 years as a devoted public servant and retired from NYS in 2018. She rose through the ranks and retired as one of the highest-level Directors of Human Resources Management in NYS. She made many positive contributions to public service over the years, but her most important job and the ones that made her most proud was being a mom and GiGi.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd., Glenville.
A calling hour will also be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a funeral service to begin at 11:30 a.m.
Burial will follow at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, N.Y.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Gina's memory to her favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1999, Memphis, Tenn. 38101.
