I regret that due to a previous commitment that I am unable to attend the funeral services for this wonderful Christian gentleman. His life was a great inspiration to me in many ways.
One event in particular demonstrated Bob's giving heart. I was reroofing my garage on Lloyd Avenue in the mid 1980s when Bob came, with hammer in hand, climbed up the ladder and helped me finish the job. This was typical of his giving spirit.
May God be with the family at his home-going service, and may his memory be a shining example to us all.

I did not know Robert, but I know his two sons and if they are an example of his life then he must have been a very special person. My heartfelt condolences to John and Bill and their family's.
