ROBERT A. FREEL LEOMINSTER - Robert A. Freel, known to many as Pursey, to family as Buddy, to others as Bob, and to his children and grandchildren as both Dad and Papa, passed away peacefully at the age of 78. He passed on Tuesday, October 1 at home under the care of his loving wife and family after a long battle with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Pursey is survived by his soulmate of 46 years, Beth E. (Pond) Freel; their children, Francis Freel and Colleen Buckley, Felicia Freel and her children Max and Wes; siblings Frances Freel, Paul Freel and wife Penny; nephew Ryan Freel, wife Caterina, and children Matthew, Joseph and Gabriella; mother-in-law Marjorie Pond; brother-in-law Kevin Pond and wife Claire. Calling hours: 4 - 7 p.m. Thursday, October 10, 2024, at McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church St., Clinton. A ceremony celebrating Robert's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 11, 2024, at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date. For full obituary please visit www.mcnallywatson.com.

We lost a wonderful friend and family man this week, our hearts go out to Beth, Francis, Felicia, and the boys he loved so much. There are too many stories too tell but so many fond memories over the past 50 or so years that we have shared that maybe we should write a book.
